Each holiday season, Carl Jan Cruz hosts Cruzmas at 45 Bayani. This year, Cruzmas has come early, and with that, the introduction of two new product ranges; the Studies and Blind Box Tees.
The Studies were born from explorations and trials from our Design Studio—realized into one-of-a-kind garments. These garments are self-referential blending and re-envisioning past silhouettes with different techniques and fabrications. They forecast the design direction of the brand, presenting editions of things to come.

The Blind Box Tees introduced a seasonal promotion featuring an updated version of the Box Tee from our Pambahay Pique collection. Presented in six variations of the Box Tee; four two-tone pique color ways and two rare pique color ways. Each Box Tee was pre-packaged, the specific color way unknown to the buyer until its purchase and opening.

November 14 to 16 marked the beginning of the Cruzmas season, made more special by the brand’s long-time friend and collaborator Bea Ledesma, founder of Blah Blah Inc—Manila-based multi-disciplinary consultancy specializing in brand strategy, PR, social media, and activations.
What initially began as a collaboration to launch the brand’s new line, the Studies, eventually turned into a BLAHBLAHfied CRUZMAS at the 45 Bayani showroom. Over the launch weekend, the showroom was segmented into three experiential floors.
The first floor welcomed the guests, with rose-gold foil covering the walls and leading up the staircase.
The second floor invited guests to peer into our Design Studio and view our previously launched Archive Reissue. Upon the Design Team’s cutting table stationed Hatch and Hoolman, serving an array of bites and drinks. Moving into the salon, guests could view our Studies.
The third floor hosted a restock of long-awaiting pieces from our core collections of Piques and Denims, while also introducing our new Blind Box Tees.

The Blind Box Tees became a quick hit, with guests carefully picking their packed Blind Box Tee, filming unboxing videos, and trading Box Tees color ways. And as quickly as they came, they ran out. Because of its fast depletion, a restock is on its way in the form of pop-ups in collaboration with different spaces.
Our first pop-up was on November 29 with UNDERMAINTENANCE at Karrivin Alley. For one day only, this Blind Box launch featured not only new color ways, but also new fabrications, with the opportunity to grab rare Box Tees made up of pique and silk shantung or an exclusive CJC x UM Box Tee.

In light of recent events, Carl Jan Cruz has also partnered with For the Future PH (FTF) this Cruzmas. A portion of the sales from our launch weekend has been donated to FTF, directly supporting their efforts to rebuild schools in Dinagat and Aurora; areas severely impacted by Typhoon Tino and Uwan.
We thank you, CARLJANCREWZ, for all those who attended and for your generous support. As without you, this would not be possible! We look forward to the year to come.

Cruzmas will continue until December 20, book an appointment here.
