Carl Jan Cruz’s Tenth Year Lookbook Series: PLS STOP WEARING CARL JAN CRUZ, FEEL THEM!!! is a visual realization of the brand’s past, present, and future and a celebration of contemporary Filipino fashion.
This two-part lookbook series emphasizes the strong urge to find newness within the different epochs of the brand’s body of work—to look inward and let the vision built over the years take precedence in the brand’s evolving narrative.
From select archive pieces, to new studies from the design studio, to CJC’s core collections; Piques, Denims, and Ribs—this lookbook builds a new collection that embodies a holistic reflection of the brand.
Each volume of the lookbook series is divided into two parts, the first part featuring pieces styled by the brand’s valued collaborators, and the second part featuring complementary pieces that dictate the current direction of the brand.
Photography was done by Renzo Navarro, a longtime collaborator celebrating his 10th year alongside ours. This series also captures a decade of creativity and image-making.
Alongside this lookbook, Carl Jan Cruz will be ushering archives; with the aim to revisit archival styles and silhouettes with a new perspective. This August marks the release of the first ten archives— the pieces, spanning from 2014 to today, were curated by the brand’s early collaborators, Melvin Mojica and Karen Bolilia.
Each archive will be reimagined in new fabrications and finishings, refined by time and inspired by what is to come. This archive reissue will be made-to-measure, and available in limited editions.
