Notes on: 45 Bayani Styled Sessions

45 Bayani is more than a physical retail space. It is the embodiment of the Carl Jan Cruz universe, where ideas are formed and concepts take shape. It’s a collaborative space where the brand’s identity continuously evolves, and the team’s collective expertise and distinct perspectives in visual storytelling and garment creation converge to form a holistic vision of what Carl Jan Cruz is.

The team’s @45Bayani Instagram page is an extension of this space, and it documents how the brand exists beyond its walls. At the core of this is Styled Sessions, our ongoing visual series that showcases how the pieces are worn and reimagined to be made personal to the wearer. Styled Sessions invites friends and family, collaborators, and muses of the brand into the 45 Bayani space to wear a series of looks that feature a mix of core pieces and new releases. Each look is curated with the wearer’s personal style in mind, and every piece is free to be worn in its own way.

Through these sessions, we are able to see how, even when shot within the walls of 45 Bayani, the clothes are able to take and define space on different bodies, places, and routines through the people who wear them—how the brand is interpreted through different lenses. This idea is further highlighted by photographer Renzo Navarro, a longtime friend and collaborator of the brand, whose lens we see the visual series through.
